Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

In short: Chamber runs entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. Your settings stay on your device.

What the extension stores

Chamber keeps a small amount of data so it can remember how you like things to sound:

This data is saved locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. It lives on your own device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no server that could receive it.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information, browsing history, or usage analytics. There is no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party services involved.

Pages you visit

The extension does not request access to your tabs and never reads your browsing history, tab URLs, or page titles. When you turn on an effect, the extension only works with the audio and video already playing on the page in front of you — applying speed, reverb, and bass directly in your browser with the Web Audio API. The audio is processed on your device and is never uploaded or recorded.

Permissions

The extension requests a single permission: storage, used only to save the effect settings and custom presets described above. To apply the effect, it runs on the pages where you play media, but only to reshape that media locally — it reads no page content and sends nothing anywhere.

Your data, your control

You can clear everything the extension has saved at any time: open the options page to delete custom presets or reset the effect to its defaults, or remove the extension from your browser to delete its stored data entirely.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
